Strawberry jam flavored with Saffron Tarn.
It is around their house on the set of Montredon Labessonnié Eve and Yves Boismartel weeding and picking their saffron and strawberries by hand to turn them into sweet saffron local Tarn. These operations are long and thorough as 140 to 290 saffron flowers are needed to form 1g dry. Their 15,000 feet are treated as naturally as possible since only natural fertilizers are used in the production, and processing is free of additives, gelling agents, preservatives or artificial flavors. The final products are specifically developed and original.
To preserve the unique aroma of saffron, the flowers must be picked every day, one by one by hand. Pruning (separation of the pistil of the flower) of saffron must then be made the day very carefully, because only the parts must be kept red stigmas. This manual work, long and delicate, is the only guarantee of quality saffron. Then comes the drying, which will retain the pistils of saffron while releasing their aroma. The dried saffron keeps well for years to protect from light. All our products are based saffron natural: no coloring or flavoring, or preservatives.
