Organic vegetable gelling Agar agar natural for creams, foams and jellies
Agar or Kanten is obtained from a mixture of algae, available in powder form. How to use
It is suitable for all preparations requiring the use of a gelling agent, both savory and sweet: jellies, jams, puddings, aspic ... The gel strength depends on the acidity of the acid preparations will need a little more Agar-Agar. Do not combine with chocolate or kiwi, because they neutralize its gelling effect.
For jam: 1 c. coffee (about 5g) equivalent to 6 sheets of gelatine 500g of fruit or 500ml of liquid.

As part of a diet, agar provides only three calories per gram, it tempers the appetite and captures fats and sugars.
